If you are new to curling or have always wanted to try it, this is the session for you! Led by experienced curlers, you will learn the basics of how to deliver a stone, how to sweep a rock and how to keep your balance while on the ice. Please dress warmly and wear indoor, soft-soled shoes if you do not have curling shoes. Brooms and sliders are available to use if needed. The class is FREE of charge but we request you register HERE so we know how many to expect. The session will be a maximum of 2 hours in length and starts at 7:00 pm.
The upstairs lounge will be open following the session. You might also want to consider joining the Wednesday night Social Fun League from January to March after getting this lesson on basic curling skills. This league consists of a mixture of new and experienced curlers but it is non-competitive, only 6 end games and the emphasis is on having fun. Registration for this league will remain open until the end of January.
If you have any questions, please contact the curling club at (780) 672-4152 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to having you join us!
