 2025/26 Programs

Try Curling

A two hour lesson on the A-Z of curling. These lessons are open to people of all ages and are recommended for those with little to no curling knowledge. These lessons will teach you enough about the sport that you will be able to join a recreation event or bonspiel.

A minimum of 4 people are required for the program to run.

U8 Little Rockers Program

Start Date: November 19, 2025 - $175/child + $23 Curling Fees

Do you have a youngster interested in trying curling? This is the perfect program for them to give it a try!

The U8 Little Rockers Program is a non-competitive program specifically designed for kids under the age of 8, with little to no curling experience. This is our ideal starting point for all young curlers as the program is tailored to a young age and basic experience level,. This 12 week program is deisgned to familiarize all participants with on ice safety, the playing surface, and the basics of the sport. The goal of this program is FUN! While we will aim to teach as much as we can, our goal is to make sure each participant enjoys their time on the ice.

Please note that a CSA approved helmet is mandatory for all program participants under the age of 12 years old.

U12 Novice Program

Start Date: October.29, 2025 - $250/child + $23 Curling AB Fees

Do you have a youngster interested in trying curling? Has your child been an active participant in the RCCC U8 Program and are now ready to move up? This is the perfect program for them!

The U12 Curling Program is a non-competitive program specifically designed for kids between the ages of 8 - 12 years. While this program is intended for youth who have had some experience with the game - ideally those who have participated in our U8 Program - we welcome kids of all skill levels! This 14 week program is a step up from our U8 Little Rockers Program, with a little more focus on the skills, etiquette, and strategy of the game. The goal at the end of this program is for everyone to have the skills and knowledge to be able to play basic and/or modified games, while still having fun in the process. Although this program is slightly more advanced than our U8 Program, the basics will still be taught and reviewed as needed.

Please note that a CSA approved helmet is mandatory for all program participants under the age of 12 years old.

U18 Junior Program

Start Date: October.29, 2025 - $300/child + $23 Curling AB Fees

Do you have a teen interested in trying curling? Has your child been an active participant in the RCCC U8 or U12 Program(s) and are now ready to move up? This is the program for them!

The U18 Curling Program is a non-competitive program specifically designed for kids between the ages of 12-18 years. This program is designed for older youth with at least some basic curling experience. This 14 week program is a step up from our U8 and U12  Programs, with more focus on specific curling skills, techniques, strategy, and gameplay.

This program is also the place for any Middle and High School Curlers. We have combined our School Curling Program with our previoius Junior Program to create one place for all U18 Curlers. If your child is part of a school curling program and is interested in more help with their skills, this is the perfect place for them! Out coaches can help facilitate the creation of Middle and High School teams as well if needed.

If your child is interested in this program, but has no prior curling experience, please reach out to us for a discussion about which of our programs would best fit your needs!

Please note that a CSA approved helmet is mandatory for all program participants under the age of 12 years old.
