This season, the RCCC will run a weekly Chase the Ace Raffle.
Chase the Ace is a unique raffle format, where participants have the chance to win big! Each week, tickets will be sold for $5.00/ticket. Once a week, a ticket will be drawn from those sold throughout the week. The holder of the drawn ticket will win 20% of the collected money from that week. They will then have the chance to draw a playing card from a deck of 52 cards, searching for the Ace of Spades. If the Ace of Spades is drawn, the winner will recieve 30% more of the money collected. If the Ace of Spades is not found, that 30% will be added to a progressive pot and carried over to the next week. The winning ticket holder from the next week will have the chance to draw for the Ace of Spades for the entirety of the progressive pot. Each week that the Ace of Spades is not found, the pot will continue to grow, making it larger for the next weekly winner. The chosen card will be removed from the deck each week, increasing the odds of becoming a winner!
If the Ace of Spades is not found by the end of the season, all tickets bought throughout the entire season will be entered into one final draw on the last week of curling. The winner of that draw will win the 20% from the sales that week, as well as the entire progressive pot.
The weekly winners, chosen cards, collected amounts, and other information about the raffle will be updated here weekly.
